Hi,
You can check if you have inetd installed running the command

rpm -q inetd

(the files on this rpm are
    /etc/inetd.conf
    /etc/rc.d/init.d/inet
    /usr/man/man5/inetd.conf.5.gz
    /usr/man/man8/inetd.8.gz
    /usr/sbin/inetd
)
