Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade glib and gtk+. When I try to compile gtk+ 1.2.8-7,
during the configure, I get the error:

checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.8... no
*** Could not run GLIB test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GLIB was incorrectly installed
*** or that you have moved GLIB since it was installed. In the latter case, you
*** may want to edit the glib-config script: /usr/bin/glib-config
configure: error:
*** GLIB 1.2.8 or better is required. The latest version of GLIB
*** is always available from ftp://ftp.gtk.org/.

When I do 'rpm -qa | grep ^glib', I see:

glibc-2.1.3-15
glib-1.2.8-6
glib10-1.0.6-6
glibc-devel-2.1.3-15
glib-devel-1.2.8-6

It looks like I have glib 1.2.8-6 installed. Why do I get the error when
trying to install gtk+? Thanks,

Hidong
