Hello, I am in the process of creating an RPM binary only (no source) install for Linux ix86 architecture. We are also going to be needing to target the Solaris/Sparc platform and would like to develop the install in RPM for that. I'm a newbie and would like to know if I can create an RPM install in Redhat 7 and install it on Solaris/Sparc. Would it be easier to just use pkgadd for the Solaris system and Redhat Package Manager for the Linux? Thanks for any help.
