You mean that named should be running on every linux server on a LAN? I have
two sparate servers, one for sendmail, the other Apache. Even if I execute
"telnet <IP address>" which doesn't require IP resolution, I wait a certain
time before I get the login prompt. And that's on both servers. And I have
the same "bind" error on both servers too. Knowing that both servers are
configured as DNS cache.
What do you think?
