I like to ask a question about 7.0. How tightly is 7.0 integrated with
gnome? I am running 6.2 without gnome and kde (I have gone through a great
length to make sure none of the gnome or kde package is installed, when I
installed 6.2.) I tried to upgrade to 7.0 a few weeks ago. When the
installer was happy not to pick any kde related packages, it did pick
gnome for me, even though I don't have gnome in my system. I first tried
to unpick gnome packages again, but gave up the upgrade eventually. So my
question is is gnome an essential unseparated component for 7.0?
