Do you have the XFree86-devel package installed? Smells like it's missing
some header files or something. Plus, you're not trying to install it.
You're trying to build or compile it. The installation phase happens after
you've finished putting it together :)
Why don't you just get the xv install rpm (not the source one), or did you
find the tarball someplace?
