I'm downloading the 2.4.2 kernel now (and apparently will be for quite a
while...) from kernel.org. I see there is also a file called
patch-2.4.2.gz, is it something I'll need to install when I install the new
kernel? If so, is there any trick to it? Or, do I need it at all? I've
never installed a new kernel, just re-compiled the one I've already got.
