Actually, the "XFree86 Font Deuglification Mini HOWTO" does pretty well in
explaining how to go through this.

I will warn you, though--don't go crazy on importing fonts.

I scripted the whole thing, and didn't bother to just pick selected
TT fonts--I had the script take all the TT fonts that were on my
Windows box.

It's been collecting fonts since 1993.  There were a LOT of fonts.

You won't believe how slow Netscape is to come up after this.

I really need to go through and blow away those fonts I don't need.
