It's the log.* in /etc/logrotate.d/samba. I changed mine to explicitly name the logs I want to rotate. /var/log/samba/log.smb { notifempty missingok postrotate /usr/bin/killall -HUP nmbd endscript } /var/log/samba/log.nmb { notifempty missingok postrotate /usr/bin/killall -HUP nmbd endscript } The client specific ones (log.client), I don't rotate (yet), but just add them explicitly to the file. -- John S.
