ps and netstat fail

I'm running Linux 7.0 (2.2.16-22) and when executing 'ps' or 'netstat'
I get 'bash: /bin/ps: No such file or directory' or 'bash: /bin/netstat:
No such file or directory'.

So far only these commands fail.  Any pointers to information on how
to fix.  Am I missing some libraries?
