You can configure your /etc/fstab file, which is the
one in charge of handle all the partition that should
be mounted when the system start....so, in order to do
that, using joe or pico or vi or emacs or whatever
editor that you like, your ought to add a line like
this, to your /etc/fstab file:
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows vfat defaults,user,rw 0 0
(save it and do lilo, just in case ; ))
and then when you are in gnome (it roolez!), with the
left button of your mouse clicked over it, select the
Update Devices option and and a new icon should
appear, that is your windows partition, afetr this
execute you file manager and there you (should) have
it.

P.S. the /dev/hda2 it's just in case that windows is
in this partition, if you made thi dual installation
the tradictional way (first win and then linux) it
should be in that partition (/dev/hda1) but you have
to be sure about it.
