Here is uptime on one of my mainline web servers:
# uptime
1:14pm up 355 days,
and here is one of my DNS servers:
# uptime
12:23pm up 250 days,
Both are at a co-lo with good power, etc. The fact that they do not have
longer uptimes is that we only went to that co-lo 355 days ago :) Good
hardware, stable operating system, proper configuration, good power and
things should run for many months between reboots.
