It "installs" out of the box, yes, but by default it fails to recognize
the IO chipset, resulting in fairly shoddy hard disk performance. I had to
upgrade a bunch of packages using the rawhide distribution and then compile
& boot kernel 2.4 to get it to really behave itself.
Kernel 2.2.x plus the appropriate unified-ide patch from Andre Hedrick
would probably work as well. It's possible that RH may have included this
in the 2.2.17 rpm they recently put out, but I haven't tried it. Besides,
devfs, LVM and iptables are neat new sysadmin toys ;)
