Watched somebody hitting my box on port 53 for half an hour the other
night. Tried about three different IPs (all obviously forged), switched
methodically between UDP and TCP, and even tried mangled packets with
different window sizes but iptables saved the day. Finally got tired of
the game and dumped him into my Firestarter deny-all file. Suspect an
American script kiddie but nothing to prove that.
