Time for #2 dumb question:  Can you compile non-kde packages on the
system?  I just built another 6.2 system, and in the process of updating
it, I broke the symlinks from /usr/include to /usr/src/linux/include and
/usr/src/linux/include/asm, so nothing would compile untill I fixed it.
