Hello all,

Every now and then I'll start getting messages like this to the root account

Subject: Cron <root@ns> /usr/bin/update_pop
Message: Cannot send HUP to 12493
         !

Usually I just restart sendmail and everything is fine. But, is there a
script or something that I could have run every half hour or so to check and
see if certain daemons are running (in this case sendmail) and if it isn't,
restart it?

I know there has to be something I can do to keep from email from being down
until I can restart sendmail.

Any help is appreciated.

Kevin
