Provided he can use ipchains & has all the kernel correctl compiled (I think
it is by default), he can use the firewall script found at
htp://tomii.erols.com/firewall.txt to start up ip masquerading, & do a fair
amount of port blocking...

For the windoze box, he needs to go into the networking (under control
panel), & set his gateway, IP address, & nameservers up correctly.  His
gateway should be the private side of his linux box.
