WooHoo!  This time it registered! :P  One of you had mentioned
double checking the uplink before, and I did.  I made absolutely
sure it was my Linux box plugged into that rather than one of the
clients!:P  Seemed logical to my brain.  The statement here was a
little more clear.  Switched that to one of the "normal" ports and
everything is working like a champ.  **huge sigh of relief**  I'm
pretty glad it turned out to be hardware related, as I've been
running linux on my home box for years, and was upset that I just
wasn't getting it right.  But I never ever claimed to be a network
guy, and that whole concept of the server/firewall/masq machine
being my "uplink" STILL makes total sense to me! :P  That's my story
and I'm stickin' to it.

Thanks to you guys for sticking with me and getting this thing
figured out, you made my weekend!!!!
