Where in the world is the LPD daemon called from to get
my printer to work.
I have to run 'printtool' and need to tell it to rerun the lpd daemon and
once I do that the printer works fine. Also, I checked out all the 'pids'
using ps aux | grep lpd, and that daemon is not running after I reboot. Only
when I enable it through printtool.
So, my question is - where in the world do I enter that command such that it
will start when I reboot? Grrrrrrrrrr. ( maybe in /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit ??).
I am running the new 'fisher' but I am sure it would be the same as Redhat7.0
if someone could just tell me how that is done..
Thanks..
