        What version of RedHat?  I haven't seen this one in a long time.

        Did you manually upgrade sendmail?  What version sendmail?

        Check permissions on /etc and see if it's "group writable".
If so, you probably should run "chmod g-w /etc" and see if that fixes
the problem.  My /etc directory is mode 755.  I don't know of any
reason why it would need to be looser.

        Next question, what permissions do you have for /etc/aliases?

        You say "another question"...  I didn't see your previous question,
so if these are answered in a previous message, I apologize, but you
should probably make each question complete with configuration information.
