since upgrading my work box to RH7, the GNOME "lock screen" function hasn't worked unless I first run xscreensaver from a command line. This doesn't bother me so much, but soon the rest of the shop is going to upgrade to RH7 and one of the strategies is to dupe my disk, so I'd like to understand this issue. I guess what I really want to know is, where does xscreensaver normally get started under Red Hat? On my home box (which works fine) I see the process is owned by init, so I assume it's started along with the basic X services (either gdm or the user session), but past that I'm stuck. -- Michael Jinks, IB // Technical Entity // Saecos Corporation _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
