Bret and Linda,
Please, be aware that there is a known bug in the RH6.2 installer that
will *overwrite* any contents of /etc/ppp/ip-up.local with some
isdn-related stuff. A re-install would probably do this to you.

I'd recomend creating what scripts you need somewhere under /usr/local
and call your script from ip-up.local.
Been there, done that. Even bought the T-shirt.

P.S. I did not follow this thread from the start, so I'm not sure of
which release is in question. It may be that you're already on RH7 and
then my info is old stuff. But anyway...
