Hi all,
I now have ppp set to demand dial and ip forwarding
working. This leaves setting up the firewall and finding
a mail program I like. I tried netscape today, but
opening every message one by one is not much fun.
Is there something to set so you can read mail like
with outlook without actually having to open each one.
Any suggestion of a different program to read mail.
Something easy to set up ( I am ready for a break)
Also any programs to read mail that I can use with
out starting xwindows?
Also on the firewall. I am running RH 6.0 (need to
have the same as work a private lan off the net which
is working well - don't want to mess with something
that is working great) I replaced pump with dhcpcd
for my ppp connection as the book said. I am a little
confused about all the various scripts it has you set
up so the firewall knows your ip address. Why would
I need this address in hosts especially since masq and
forwarding seem to work fine with just my private
address in hosts? This firewall thing has me confused
and the more I read the more confused I become.
                       Thanks
                      Linda Hanigan
