I have to versions of RH6.2 one running with kernel version 2.2.14-5.0 and the other 2.2.14-6.1.1. I found out that the latter has Large File Support "enabled" in the kernel while the former doesn't have this loaded. I need to remove Large File Support from the 6.1.1 kernel in order to install ClearCase with MVFS support.
Can someone point me to documentation on how to check for dependencies when removing LFS modules from the kernel (i.e. what other modules depend on this and what order they should be removed/installed). Any info on kernel modification "gotchas" would also be greatly appreciated.
