Should the command "hostname" show only the short hostname ("host") or the FQDN
("host.domain.tld") I have found that proftpd freaks out and won't start unless I set
it to the FQDN on one of my boxes, but that's kinda weird because in the past it's
been working with it set to just the hostname. I looked at linuxconf the other day
(bad me) and it fried a couple of things, I hope it didn't do something with to
ProFTPd too.
I noticed this when I went to restart the deamon after increasing the FTP transfer
timeout. That really shouldn't have made a difference.
