Howdy,
I just installed RH 6.2 on a new box with a good ol' Linksys LNE100TX NIC (uses tulip
module). The installer failed to detect the NIC at all, so I'm trying to add it
manually. I did as much as I could with linuxconf but I upon startup, during init
starting, I see the eth0 error "can't insmod <path/to/modules/>tulip.o: device or
resource busy.
I get the same errors if I try it by hand. strace didn't tell me anything useful.
I'm wondering if I have the Plug-N-play OS option, in the BIOS, set to the wrong
thing. For Linux is plug-n-play OS supposed to be on or off?
Any help is much appreciated.
