Hi, the trouble is that the bootmanager which comes with Linux can't boot
from an NTFS partition. But you can use the Windows 2000 bootmanager to
boot Linux. So never install the LILO on the MBR, thou. Make a boot floppy. 
Use the boot floppy to boot your Linux system and then follow the steps 
outlined in the article
below.

Lastly, i'm just a linux newbie, ya now? I know the answer coz someone told 
the solution to boot linux with win nt one time ago. Hope it will helps!
