I never had much luck with this if I let mozilla try and download it for me
and then install it when a page needs it - presumably becuase I don't browse
as root (as if!?).  But if I did it manually I had no program.  Grab the xpi
from..

ftp://linuxftp.netscape.com/pub/netscape6/english/6.0/unix/linux22/xpi/jre.xpi

.. and save it somewhere locally.  Start up mozilla and open the jre.xpi
file (File->Open ect ect) and it installs okay for me.  My user accounts can
then have java for mozilla... horray!

Tried 2000-12-17 this morning but it doesn't seem as stable so have gone
back to be 2000-12-08 for the time being... oh well. :)
