They do exist, I've seen references to them in various places (including
this list) though I can't point you to one.

Another option is a 3-rd party add-in serial board. Lots of people 
sell 'em. One place to look is www.byterunner.com (though it's been a
while since I've gone there I'll assume they are still in business).
