I finally got it to work by removing the Workgroup I had entered in
printtool. It may be possible that printtool has a bug accepting workgroups
with spaces in its name.

Subject: Can't print to Win2k Printer
Hi all,
Are there any Redhat 7 printing issues I should be aware of? (Using
printtool and SMB printing)
I have my printer attached to my Win2k box. It is shared and smbclient can
see the printer share.
I get strange error messages in status.lp such as "syntax error: unexpected
end of file" in /usr/lib/rhs/rhs-printfilters//smbprint" (what's with the
"//" instead of "/")?
And 'smbprint' filter msg 'cat: write error: broken pipe'.
It also appears that the printtool configuration values are not being passed
to the smbprint configuration script.
I have a postscript printer.
I hope you can help. I've been going around in circles for most of the day.
By the way:
lpq reads:
Status: removing job 'root@server+880' - JREMOVE at <time>.
This never goes away.
Regards,
Adam
