In most cases it will be ppp0, but there are no guarantees. This can
be determined dynamically. Take a look at the discussion of the ip-up
and ip-down scripts in the pppd man page. You can code your firewall
to dynamically recognize the interface name, IP address and netmask
every time a dialup connection is established. That's how I have my
firewall at home set up.
