That would work for a straight-through cable. but for a cross over, you need
to swap two pair.

End 1                           End 2 (Data Cross)
============            ============
Orange/White            Orange/White
Orange                  Orange
Green/White                     Brown/White
Blue                            Blue
Blue/White                      Blue/White
Green                           Brown
Brown/White                     Green/White
Brown                           Green

This should create a data cross-over for you.  IIRC, data uses pins 3, 6, 7,
and 8 of the CAT5 cable while pins 1, 2, 4, and 5 are set aside for voice.
So, if you wanted to create a voice and data cross over cable, you would
swap 1 and 2 with 4 and 5 also.
