I'm trying to setup yp/NIS on a RH7.0 server. I'm having some difficulty getting the server running though. When I run /usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m I get "gmake[1]: *** No rule to make target `/etc/netgroup', needed by `netgroup'. Stop." Any pointers would be appreciated. Here's the output of /usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m. Thanks, Mike -------------------------------------------- [root@rattler Work]# /usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m At this point, we have to construct a list of the hosts which will run NIS servers. rattler.cajuninc.com is in the list of NIS server hosts. Please continue to add the names for the other hosts, one per line. When you are done with the list, type a <control D>. next host to add: rattler.cajuninc.com next host to add: The current list of NIS servers looks like this: rattler.cajuninc.com Is this correct? Now you can run ypinit -s rattler.cajuninc.com on all slave server.
