Hi,
I can't print, and I don't know why. When I submit a print job, like
"lpr .bashrc", I get the error:
lpr: Printer queue is disabled
"lpq" shows:
Warning: lp is down: lp is ready and printing
Warning: lp queue is turned off
no entries
This is weird because "ps aux" shows:
root 1645 0.0 0.1 1180 504 ? S 17:48 0:00 lpd
I've also tried stopping and starting /etc/rc.d/init.d/lpd, but I'm
still having the same problems. The really strange thing is that this
printer is attached to a machine called ripley. I can print to this
printer from a networked machine called jonesy. So basically, I can
remote print to this printer, but I can't local print. Any
suggestions? Thanks,
