One way to do it is to assign the names to the IP address, and then let
the system pick up its name according to the IP address it gets. That
way, you don't have to change the zone files. Systems that need a fixed
address can be handled in your dhcpd.conf file by giving them a static
IP, even though they get the IP using dhcpcd. I use a mix of static and
dynamic IP's on my home system, and it works well as long as I don't
start changing NICs around for the static IP systems.
It seams to work well both for 6.2 and Windows.
