Hi

My Red Hat 6.2 must coexist on the same box as Windows 95.

I have an ADSL connection which works well under both Linux and Windows.

When I reboot from Linux to Windows, invariably I get a message advising
me of a hardware/IP conflict (probably my NIC and temporary DSL IP ?)

This can always be resolved by running winipcfg > [Release All] then
rebooting. [Renew All] will not work in the first Win session - the
reboot is definitely required, at least within the timeframe of a few
minutes (I've waited up to 5).

This is not a fatal DSL problem, just a nuisance.

Anyone know what's happening?

Is there something I can do in Linux to "release" DHCP prior to shutdown
and save a Win reboot?

Have I set up DHCP wrongly in Linux? This never used to happen in 6.1,
so maybe I've screwed up somewhere in this installation?

Thanks in advance

Tim
