I have downloaded and installed the xinetd update for RH7 last night
I then also went and grabbed the latest identd. After installation
I went to my router which now has forwarding enabled in the nat table
to port 113. The router is set to 10.0.0.2. This is an ADSL connection
at 640kbps.

I went to this Qwest web site to get the settings for the router

http://www.qwest.net/nav4/help/faqs/faqs_pppusing675.html#3

The router is a Cisco 675 with 2.3.5 CBOS

My outside port wan0-0 Outside is set to a static ip at my isp.

>From "show nat command" "The Global IP is fake for obvious reasons"

My question is:

1. If my configuration of xinetd and identd is wrong, how would I go
about removing xinetd and identd to do a fresh install?

Here is a snipet of log from the irc server "sprynet.us.galaxynet.org on

port 6667:

AUTH:*** Looking up your hostname
AUTH:*** Checking for ident server
AUTH:*** Checking for open SOCKS server
AUTH:*** Found your hostname
AUTH:*** Erroneous identification response
AUTH:*** No SOCKS server found

Doing a /whois nobody1 comes up with ~nobody@my address

So anyone that can help this irc less chap (for over three weeks now),
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Frank
