Hello, I am running redhat 6.2 on a sparc ultra-5 workstation. When I try and upgrade the gnome-pim rpm I get the following error: rpm -U gnome-pim-1.2.0-5.sparc.rpm only packages with major numbers <= 3 are supported by this version of RPM error: gnome-pim-1.2.0-5.sparc.rpm cannot be installed Call me stupid but as far as I can see the package major number is 1. I then tried upgrading the rpm package itself with the same problem: rpm -U rpm-4.0.1-0.5.sparc.rpm only packages with major numbers <= 3 are supported by this version of RPM error: rpm-4.0.1-0.5.sparc.rpm cannot be installed Can anyone help me with this?
