been there done that.......i did the extraversion thing....putting LJ after
-5.0
when all was compiled
make dep clean modules modules_install
i copied bzimage from /usr/src...... to /boot and renamed to
linuz-2.2.14-5.0LJ
and of course copied over system.map renaming it to system.map-2.2.14-5.0LJ

everything loads......but bunch of unresolved symbols.....

had LI error plus in past i've had issues with it messing up windows
access/linux access......and i've heard of others having trouble with it so
..........maybe its a no brainer something dumb i've done .......regardless
loadlin
is far easier and for me at least safer........i boot to dos and type linux (
linux.bat) and I'm there.....:)))))))
