Which company? I use the setup you describe with @Home and while (1) they
would prefer to have me pay for more IPs and (2) they (of course) refuse to
support my LAN setup and config, they couldn't care less about it. For
example, tech support is happy to try to help me when I tell them I am at a
Windows machine behind a Linux gateway. Although they're not much help,
they've never tried to blow me off because of the Linux gateway.
To the original poster: One thing I like about LRP (and this would hold
for any floppy-based micro-distro) is that IF the gateway becomes
compromised, I can restore it to pristine condition by power-cycling the
machine (because the floppy holding the OS is physically
write-protected). I think that's pretty powerful.
