only four. as i just recently posted, it doesn't appear that the
embedded dev kit allows the creation of a bzImage, just a zImage.
and it's pretty clearly something related to lilo and the type
of kernel created -- i dd'ed the kernel to a floppy, and booted
directly off the floppy, and it boots.
well, it boots to the point where it's clear my colleague built
the kernel with the wrong features :-), but it starts to boot
nonetheless.
methinks it's time to dig into the enbedded dev kit to figure out
just how it builds these kernels. thanks for all the help.
