This is using the Linux box that's directly connected to the Cisco DSL
router (I'm seeing the same results from other sites also):

traceroute to wesleyan.net (216.254.53.37), 30 hops max, 38 byte packets

The return route from my DSL carrier to my local box isn't much better.
I logged in and ran traceroute from their site:

traceroute to glenlee.citilink.com (209.98.64.144), 30 hops max, 40 byte

Ping isn't real reliable either. I typically see anywhere from 0% to 25%
packet loss.

I'll have to do that next weekend. I'm leaving for Buffalo, NY, shortly,
and haven't installed the software yet.

This morning I couldn't download any sites from any of the work stations.
I kept getting a "the peer has reset the connection" error message.
Right now DSL seems to be working. I was able to download and upgrade IE
on the Win98 box. The download took about 15 minutes. And we were able
to simultaneously listen to two different radio stations over the 'net on
two different work stations. Based on past history I don't expect it to
last.

Thanks,

Glen
