Okay forget this :-) I use redhat with KDE. However, the mmap test requires
some gnome libraries. Some have been installed, but it looks not too well.
Probably my fault. Anyway, the configure test just seems to abort and say
that the mmap test has failed as opposed to saying an actual
compilation/linking problem has occurred.
