The list is a great place to get help with problems you are experiencing,
but I doubt that any one of it's participants has enough time to research
and describe "vmlinuz" for you. At least not in great enough length that
you would likely be satisfied.

I noticed you are using MS Outlook as your mailer, which means you are
probably using Windows, which means you probably do not have access to the
How-To files that come with the Linux Distribution. These would be a
great place to start. There are some online versions as well.

You would be wise to list more precisely "what" it is about the vmlinuz
file that you are interested in so we can either answer you or point you
toward a comprehensive source. Are you interested in what a kernel is?
Or, what is it you particularly want to know about vmlinuz?

Conscience is what hurts when everything else feels so good.
