I've been using ical for a while. I tried gnomecal, but it seems to require a
DISPLAY be set and available, even when using the "-list" commandline which
just outputs to STDOUT.  Am I missing something or is this thing really that
limited?

What's the point of output to STDOUT if X is required for the app to run?
