You may have that wrong...and its kinda trivial, but if a file is looking
at it then it's critical.....

On my 6.2 system the linking for asm is as follows....

/usr/include/asm  is linked to
/usr/src/linux/include/asm

AND
/usr/src/linux/include/asm   is linked to
/usr/src/linux/include/asm-i386

You may be better off just reinstalling the kernel src packages to
recreate any broken links and so forth...may save some headaches...
more sleep, less pain :)
