You are correct in that RedHat does not release gcc tarballs, but as I
mentioned in the previous posting, all header files that are needed for
a successful compile of ANYTHING, should be part of the distribution.
I should not have to install lots of other files, in this case kernel
source, in order just to get ONE header.
Because of the project that I am working on, the compiler that I am
compiling has to match the compiler being used under Solaris 2.5.1.
The compiler that comes with RH6.2, is older than the one I need, hence
the need to compile it.
