AFAIK there's no problem intalling on any hardware raid device that is
supported. I'm currently running RH 6.2 on a Mylex (IBM) AcceleRaid
card configured for RAID 5. The install worked just like it was a large
single drive. The only thing special was that the /boot is in it's own
partion and is first due to the bios 1024 cyl limit. I've installed on
some other cards also, and they're all the same. Note that the RAID
configuration (in this case) was done through the onboard software
although it could have been done under dos. Very nice, very quick
especially with the 'write back' option turned on.
Note also that some RAID controllers (Mylex for one) are not really SCSI
controllers as such, but block controllers which are much more efficient.
