Hmmmm, Pine renders HTML email just fine, without the images of course, or
the Javascript, or the security holes. It seems to me that the problem is
having a mail client that will execute javascript (or vbscript or the
like). That is, aside from the web-beacon issue with the images in the
HTML email telling the senders where you are and when you open.

I'm not arguing that HTML doesn't belong in email (I never send HTML
email myself!), just that the security issues do not prevent a MUA from
handling html laden email safely.

Just my opinion.....
