Does anyone know why on some web pages when you click reload the server
returns a page expired message. I would like to do a similar thing on my
site, but if I tell the client not to cache the content it simply resubmits
the information for a second time.
My problem is that I have a couple of simple scripts that add entries to a
database and if the user clicks reload they insert the information again. I
can get around this, but I would like to know of more than one way to do it
as my way seems rather odd.
I have a script that simply inserts the information and then redirects the
user to a second page so the reload does not resubmit the information. Does
anyone have any other ideas or know of material I can read on CGI or better
yet php application development to handle this sort of problem.
Thanks,
Chad Skinner
